Operating a stone shot-blasting machine is actually not difficult; the key is to follow the steps carefully, with safety as the top priority. Let me walk you through the core points:
I. Pre-Operation Preparation
Equipment inspection: Focus on the shot blaster impeller blades (replace if worn below 5 mm), as well as whether the track and guard shields are loose.
Stone loading: Do not overload—e.g., a 3-ton piece of equipment should be loaded with no more than 2.5 tons—and leave a 5–10 cm gap to prevent material jamming.
Parameter settings: For granite and marble shot blasting, the typical blast pressure is 3–6 bar, with a blasting duration of 2–5 minutes. Be sure to check the power supply.
II. Power-On Procedures
Sequential startup: first start the dust collector, then start the main unit, and run it on no load for 3 minutes.
Safety Precautions: Safety goggles, a dust mask, and non-slip footwear must be worn.
III. In-Operation Monitoring
Ejection force: A pressure drop of more than 20% may indicate insufficient shot or a blockage.
Stone condition: Inspect the surface every 10 minutes; reduce the interval if significant wear is observed at the edges and corners.
Equipment temperature: The shot blaster shall not exceed 60°C; stop the machine if it is too hot to touch.
IV. Shutdown Procedures
Shut down in sequence: first stop the loading operation, then turn off the shot-blasting motor (let it run idle for 1 minute), and finally shut down the dust-collection system.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Remove dust and inspect shot consumption (approximately 5 kg per 100 m²).
V. Safety Precautions
It is strictly prohibited to open the guard while the equipment is running.
Overloading is prohibited.
Do not perform maintenance without disconnecting the power.
