PART 1  Core definition

In simple terms, the mobile cart-type shot blasting machine is an intermittent surface treatment equipment that uses a movable cart as the workpiece carrier to achieve "loading - transportation - shot blasting - discharging" integration. Its core principle is to use a high-speed rotating impeller to project steel balls and other shot materials at a speed of 80-90 m/s onto the surface of the workpiece on the cart. By utilizing the impact energy of the shot material and the workpiece, it can achieve multiple functions such as surface rust removal, oxidation skin removal, deburring, and strengthening.

Compared with the turntable type and through-type shot blasting machines, its most prominent feature is "specialized for heavy loads". It can easily handle large workpieces weighing 5 to 200 tons. Whether it is the bed of a machine tool, the flange of a wind power unit, or large castings and pressure vessels, it can achieve stable and uniform processing in all directions, completely solving the problem of traditional equipment "unable to handle or unable to clean thoroughly".

01/ Shot blasting chamber body

The "working cabin" of the equipment is made of wear-resistant steel plates and is welded together. It is equipped with protective panels inside, which can effectively resist the impact of projectiles and extend the service life of the equipment. At the same time, it enables enclosed operation, preventing dust from spilling out and projectiles from flying around. On both sides or the top of the cabin, centrifugal pelleters are installed. Projectiles are ejected from here at high speed, cleaning the workpieces in all directions.  

02/ Truck System

The "core base" that holds the workpiece is made by welding steel sections. It is equipped with wheels at the bottom, allowing it to move flexibly along the track. During operation, the vehicle smoothly transports the workpiece into the shot blasting chamber, completes the cleaning process, and then precisely transports it out. Some models also have a rotating mechanism, enabling the workpiece to receive shot blasting treatment without any blind spots in a 360° rotation, ensuring uniform cleaning.

03/ Shot blasting machine

The "heart" of the equipment is composed of the impeller, blades, guard cover, etc. When the impeller rotates at high speed, the projectiles are accelerated and ejected under the action of centrifugal force, forming a dense projectile flow. The power and quantity of this system directly determine the cleaning efficiency. Common configurations such as single throw head and double throw head can be selected flexibly according to the requirements.

04/ Ballistic Circulatory System

It is composed of elevators, separators, pipelines, etc. and serves as the "energy-saving manager" of the equipment. After the projectiles finish working, they are transported to the separator by the elevator, where impurities and dust are removed. Then they re-enter the shot blasting machine for recycling, with a recovery rate of over 95%. This significantly reduces the cost of consumables and achieves energy conservation and consumption reduction.

05/ Dust Removal System

The "key defense line" for environmental protection compliance usually employs bag-type dust collectors or cyclone dust collectors. These devices can effectively collect the dust generated during the shot blasting process, ensuring that the air quality in the workshop meets environmental protection standards. This not only eliminates pollution risks at the source but also meets the requirements of modern industrial green production.

06/ Electrical Control System

The "brain" of the equipment, modern truck-mounted shot blasting machines mostly adopt PLC control systems, which can achieve full-process automatic control of the vehicle movement, the start and stop of the shot blasting equipment, and the linkage of the dust removal system. The operation is simple, the stability is high, and it can also precisely adjust the parameters according to the requirements of the workpiece, reducing the difficulty of manual operation.
